(1) COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR WEDDING PLANNER
Please enquire from your planner if there’s anything else you need to know, send them, or help them with before the wedding day.
(2) GET A MANICURE AND PEDICURE
It is advisiable to get a manicure or perdicure during the week leading to your wedding. It will also be kind to spend extra in getting same for your bridesmaids.
(3) REACH OUT TO YOUR BRIDESMAIDS
Check in with them and see if they need anything before the wedding. Also confirm with them that they know where to be and when for hair and makeup on the day-of.
(4) CONTACT THE HOTEL AND ASK FOR AN UPGRADE
If you’re staying in a hotel for the wedding, check in with the front desk and ask if they can give you a last-minute, discounted or free, upgrade to a bigger suite. If they have availability, and you let them know it’s your wedding weekend, maybe they will work their magic for you.
(5) TRY THE DRESS, BRIDAL SHOES AND ALL THE ACCESSORIES
It is advisable to try the dress, bridal shoes and all the accessories prior to the wedding day. Ensure you’re feeling happy with how everything looks on you from head to toe.
(6) TAKE A VACATION FROM THE OFFICE AT LEAST A WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY
Ensure you don’t have a to-do list of work tasks floating around in your head. That way, you can gallop into your wedding week without your boss’s voice lingering in your head.
(7) PLEASE SLEEP ENOUGH
In the week before your wedding, please get enough sleep. The more rest you get, the better. Once the wedding activities start, it may be harder to get a solid night’s sleep.
(8) READ YOUR VOWS OUT LOUD
Read your vows out loud to yourself a handful of times. Practice reading it with a steady and slow pace until you feel confident and calm so that you don’t stammer or make mistakes on your wedding day.

Pack your honeymoon bags if you going for your honey moon immediately after the wedding in order to avoid adding or forgetting to add last-minute items to your suitcase the morning after your big day.

If there are a couple of people who are reading a little something special to you and your significant other at the wedding or rehearsal dinner, check in with them and confirm. You can also let them know the time frame that they should expect to speak, so that they feel calm and ready for their role.

Clean your house so that you can come home to rest after your wedding.

Spend some time alone with your fiancé to discuss and plan the upcoming wedding.

Find out the time every vendor should arrive and have a person, preferably a family member that will help you follow up with the vendors and it will give you more time to focus on your wedding day.
(14) CHOOSE A FAMILY MEMBER TO COLLECT YOUR MONEY AND GIFTS
Assign the responsibility of picking your money, sprayed during dancing and collecting your gifts from your guest to a family member you trust that will ensure your gifts make it home to you safe.
(15) PACK AN EXTRA DRESS
You need to pack and extra dress, so that you can change to something more comfortable during the wedding reception.
